Two surgeries down and two healing boys

Well yesterday Terry's father had surgery to remove the cancer in his colon. 4 hours of surgery. They gave him an epidural but someone didn't send the actual med request to the pharmacist so when he came out of surgery he was feeling everything. Needless to say we didn't get home last night until about midnight. Then off to the hospital this morning by 9:30 for Terry's surgery. They were running about 1.5 hours behind so he finally went back at about 1, surgery lasted an hourish, 2.5 hours of recovery, etc. and we ginally got home at 5. Long day! Terry is feeling good tho so I am thankful for that. I convinced him to take one of his pain pills so he could sleep tonight. HIs gallbladder had one large marble sized stone in it that was blocking the duct so it was kinda backed up with bile. Of course, Terry's mom asked for a picture so we have one of those! Gross!

Anyway, that is it for today's news. We are tired and off to bed, hopefully for a good nights rest and then cleaning for me tomorrow before Michael comes back!

36 weeks and counting

Well today was our 36 week appt. It was my first internal. Clearly I am not dialated as it did not feel good at all for her to stick her fingers near my cervix. She said, "well, maybe dialated a fingertip..." Thanks, but it felt like she was trying to grab my stomach or something. I was hoping for something else like I was ready to go this weekend during the full moon but Im not so sure Im ready for this pain again! So we will see what next weeks appt holds!!

Tomorrow is my FIL's surgery to remove the cancerous lump in his colon. Supposedly it has shrunk quite a bit after his 5 weeks of chemo and radiation so hopefully they will get it all out. Then Terry's surgery will be Friday at around noon. He should be able to come home Friday night tho. I was teasing Terry's mom and told her we will have to just leave our sick boys at home and go shopping or something this weekend! :) Dick will be in the hospital much longer than Terry however. Pray for them both!

It was so hot today, and miserable! My car said 93, tho it was in the sun, but it was hot! So glad, still, that I will be done with pregnangy and swollen legs and itching by the real summer weather. I got a steriod patch for my itching so hopefully that will work once I get it filled tomorrow. I gained 2 pounds in the last week so my total is 10 right now. I wasn't really surprised seeing how I had two showers in the last two weeks and ate two pieces of cake and probably 8 cupcakes! And now it is bedtime! I am tired!

Bedtime and I am itching!!

So you know that I am itching like crazy and it is killing me. Last night I slept completely clothed and it helped but tonight, with the same outfit on, its not working so much!! Hopefully the dr gives me some good info tomorrow on what to do!! Michael and I went swimming at the Y tonight. Its been pretty sticky out and so jumping in the water at the Y just makes me feel a little better and he loves it so it kills two birds with one stone! We saw this son helping his mom, who was in a wheelchair, get ready to get in the pool. He helped her over and into this chair on a pole and she sank down into the water and was able to kinda float around. It was sweet though! And Michael was very sweet to her and watching not to splash her! We are counting down the days until school is out. We have so much to do in the next two weeks, even Michael said this morning, "Man we are busy!"

35.5 weeks pregnant and the first time I got to wear my maternity suit! Dont look at my jiggly legs, I can't wait to work them out again!!

OK, thats all for tonight! 36 week appt in the morning....the first appt that I get checked and the first of the weekly appts! What if she tells me I have dialated or something....ok, wishful thinking! Night!

Getting Back to Blogging

I need to get back into the blogging routine because I am going to have so many things to keep you updated on since noone will be able to make regular visits to see us after the baby gets here! So I changed my background to a more boyish tune and will begin tonight maybe with some new pictures of the baby belly!!
